BBS Motorsports E05 - (AKA BBS FI 3-Piece)
I have gone on a bit of a wheel binge this month and this is the final set. These wheels are absolutely stunning in person. I plan to keep these but I guess I would let them go for the right price
Once again the front lip is a Mode Carbon GT4. A pro shoot will be coming soon. BBS Motorsports E05 Satin black centers with black anodized lips and barrels 18 x 10 et 25 (with a 10mm spacer - effective et15) (2" lip) 275/35/18 BF Goodrich G-Force Rivals * Front tires rub the fender. As you can see in the pictures, the front wheels are very aggressive and I'm going to need to add some negative camber. I'm at -2.0 degrees now and will need to go to somewhere closer to -2.5 degrees. 18 x 11 et 25 (3" lip) 295/35/18 BF Goodrich G-Force Rivals * No Rubbing I wanted to test out these new BFG tires which are made to compete with the AD08's, RS3's, etc in the "extreme performance" category. I have not yet tested their performance but I can say that they run very wide. I was also motivated to try them because they are one of the few tires available in 295/35/18 and 275/35/18 which are a great match to the OEM tire diameters. I will give a review of the tire once I have had a chance to run them for a while.

Unfortunately I did not. I don't have a decent scale. I tried using my cheap bathroom scale and the weights were inconsistent.

Because with the centers that BBS had/has my only options in 10" were et25 and et13. After receiving feedback from me and others, BBS will be machining a second center option that will yield a 10" et19 which is what I would have probably chosen if it were readily available. In the end I'm glad I didn't wait for the et19 version because it would have required 5mm spacers due to the width of these tires (et19 would work for a more conservative tire in the same size - like Michelin PSS). In addition, 10" et25 is a common option used by many people (apex wheels are available in 10" et25) and I think it will be easier to sell that more conservative offset if/when I sell the wheels. Knowing what I know now, I would consider et13 but that is a very aggressive offset that most people would fear (making them more difficult to sell). Spacers are not a bad thing when it comes to aggressive fitment. It's hard to pinpoint the perfect offset when taking into consideration tire size variations and when you have mm's to play with. Lastly, an offset that is too conservative can always be corrected with spacers, an offset that is too aggressive can't be fixed....

Well said! And on that note, I'll have to re-think about my next set of wheels.

Car looks good but these wheels looked better in pics IMO ( i.e. the ESS widebody).
Stepped lip 18s look way too small due to the center disk. For 18s I think reg. lip is a must. I even thought my stepped lip 19s looked small due to the 18" center disk.. I have Volk re30 in 18 on the car now so I like the 18" option better. Anyways, car still looks great! |

On the BBS website I noticed they have a different rivet design. Is that optional?
