Nice article... That CSL is beautiful. Never drove one, but hopefully I get my chance in the future. I saw a GTS at the Nurburing and that baby was music to my ears.
Ateam; you're an IDIOT. Do the M World a favor; sell your M3 and get a Civic.

putting aside the 'love of the brand' (which makes me want to vomit anyway)

does ateam not have a point... these cars are generations apart and in no way comparable to one another. what am i missing here if that's not the case.

Because the 3.0 CSL was yesteryear's version of the M3 GTS. Its not about what is faster around the track, its about comparing the experiences of driving the cars.

The E46 CSL has already had Comparo tests done against the E9X M3 and the 1M...

This is a unique review and I think a very interesting one.

In some circles you would be punched in the mouth for saying this......

They are both related because just like the M1 led to the beginning of the M series.

The CLS led to light weight master pieces, because of the past and step stones like the CSL, motoring is what it is today.

Just one more example of BMW marketing blinding the masses.

If you think that the M1 is the birth of the M division you really need to examine the history of the car....going to come as quite a shock when you realize that it isn't really a BMW....lol. Lambo designed it. BMW bailed them out from financial difficulties and slapped their badge on it...lol.

That being said, I actually think it's a pretty cool comparison of cars that are generations apart.

i still don't really like chris harris. ever since his tard-tastic review of the 1-M and complaints about the steering wheel.
