I believe the color is discontinued and replaced with a blue on the 09's.

The color wasn't very popular, and BMW replaced it with LeMans Blue for '09. I really liked Sparkling Graphite though and wish they had kept it instead of replacing it with another blue color that looks pretty close to the blue they already offered.

Well, at least they didn't replace it with the poop-brown color like they for the 3 series sedan.

Maybe not popular on the M3 but I see tons of 3 series sedans in Graphite.

Also true. The funny thing is that I'm not a big fan of how Sparkling Graphite looks on the standard 3 series, but I think it looks incredible on the M3. |

Well, I kinda dont mind being it absent, I got mine anyway
But I think it's not a great colour, but another blue is kinda useless, they should have come up with something flashy |

yeah, i almost cancelled mine and got space grey instead when i found it was coming for '09, which i think looks stunning with fox red, especially on the E93. i like both, to me it gave the fox red the highlight without have to suffer with a dark color (chips and scratch wise) like jerez black or jet black.

the same thing happened with the '88 E30 M3
they had a red called Henna Red (orangey red) it sold so badly they changed it in mid year (around 300 cars) so 2nd half of 88 they had Cinnabar red. now the cars in Henna Red are worth beteen 1-2K more i know cuz i had one and they always sell for more |

I really wanted a graphite color for mine, but I settled for Space Gray because I don't like the purplish tint in BMW's Sparkling Graphite color. The color Lexus uses for graphite in their IS350 is just about perfect, IMO.
