I would be all over the HRE's if they had a step lip and it wasn't chrome

Chrome lips are much easier to maintain as opposed to polished lips. Polished lips are prone to hairline scratches...

I had chrome lips before on a set of DPE's and sadly you cannot repair rash at all, and chrome lips weigh more. I guess it's a personal preference.

Its Matte Black... OEM roof trim. The same ones that come with the base model E90s. Bought them from my local dealership for well over $125. These are in like new condition.
