I agree with above as well. just like my E46 in the past.. wasn't too happy about it being built in SOuth Africa.. I think BMW is playing with fire here.. I want to see built in Germany..

people... remember this commercial was shown to american audience... during a super bowl... i thought X3 commercial was smart use of $.

It's funny that BMW used a Mercedes W123 in the diesel commercial as the smoking clunker, when you find lots of W123 Mercs still running strong in Albania.

Albania is the land of the old Mercedes, btw.

The W123 is probably the most durable car ever produced. When I was a student I was a taxi driver as a night/weekend job. That cab had over 1,1 million km with the same engine. Incredible. It was still running 24/7.

I love the first ad! Hilarious.

I had a turbodiesel w123 coupe as my first car.

That thing could move for a diesel but the vibrations and shaking (in summer) really WERE NOT popular among my boston-metro college-aged friends lol!

The first one basically says that BMW drivers are imbeciles who love to powerslide on the public road. The second one is stupid, if i want an American car, i will buy one for half the price.
