If you know how to work with Carbon Fiber you can make this yourself for about $150 and some dedicated time. a sheet of carbon fiber cloth is about $50 + Resin $36 + Hardner $32. Not easy i know but heres some info and it makes you think why $1000 plus core. Maybe try this on something small and move on. i could understand paying that for a true carbon fiber part but this is just an overlay. Just my .02
