my wife thinks the power dome on my e92 M3 hood is aesthetically off and the car makes her feel sick around corners (ie. too much capability in the lateral G arena). I doubt we will ever agree on a car.

Thanks clar. We are pretty lucky here with the car price points. As a country we are still taxed to damn high though.

That's funny. I know what you mean about the lateral G's. My former E92 M3 was quite capable on the track. Man, I wish I could have them both...drive the M3 as my DD and drive the Turbo on the weekends. Oh well.

How is the throttle response of your turbo? Is yours a stick or PDK?

I've driven the PDK, it's tame up until about 4k.. After that it's like a longgggg swift kick in the ass.. till I don't know when.

It's awesome. Can't really describe it.
Don't get me started on the sound.

My 997 Turbo is a manual. Recently got a Softronic tune which not only bumped the crank HP to 570 but made the power delivery so smooth and enhanced the throttle response. This really is the way the car should have come from Stuttgart. There still is a small bit of turbo lag but it is very very minimal....can be totally eliminated if you are paying attention to your gears and rpms.
