IPE valve HELP
Hello!
I recently purchased an IPE muffler from another forum member here. I am doing the install myself. So far I have the muffler installed and it sounds AMAZING because the default is to have the valves open all the time. I'm getting around to running the electrical and vacuum lines needed to make the valves functional and I'm in need of some assistance as to where to pull vacuum from. Does anyone have any suggestions that might help me? This post is all I could find http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1092730 It shows them tapping into the big brake booster line with a brass "T" fitting but I feel it looks a little janky. I'm hoping someone has something that will make for a cleaner install. Thanks for the help!! |

Tapping into the brake booster line is correct. I've installed several of these the same way and never once had an issue. The one on my personal M3 was installed the same over 3 and a half years ago with zero issues to date.
The supplied electrical connectors and vacuum lines left a little to be desired, so I always upgraded those, but the supplied components will work. |

Do you have any pictures on how to properly set it up, or where i should connect that wire so that it wouldn't drain the battery? |

If you have a volt meter you can check to an ignition circuit. If not I'll try and look to see which one I tapped into |
