1M is a cool car - I was just being cheeky... However, I wouldn't trade my M3 for one. I'd happily take one as a second car, but never OVER the M3.

All I know is I went from NEVER seeing 1M's to now seeing them once a week. I believe I saw 2 over this past weekend.

I just thought the 1M is an amazing car honestly, I know some people would never take it over their M3 cuz of that beautiful S65 engine, but I just feel like maybe you'd have more confidence driving a 1M maybe cuz it's lighter. I wish I could have both

IMHO I think the 1M is a great car and I feel it is a true M car. Everyone who has driven one and reviewed it says nothing but good things about it. Lighter weight, a lot of power, and a great suspension (via M3). I love the current M3 and I feel that it is just different to drive compared to the 1M. They just go about their performance in a different manner.
There are so many great performing cars out there, and I just don't think you can put down anyone for choosing what they want to drive (Porsche's, GTR's, ZO6 Vettes, R8's, RS5's, M3's, S4's, or 1M's). If it fits in your budget, puts a smile on your face, who cares what else other people drive or think of your choice. Life is too short! |

With that said, I'd take a 1M over the new M3/M4 simply because I dislike the design of the new generation BMW's. |

I drove 1m, i thought the boost was nice and it's plenty quick at track with simple bolt-ons, it is surprisingly loud with Akra valves opened. I will admit it, I do not think I am capable of shifting that fast and heel-toe and rev matching at every corner perfectly, but the guy driving at our local track displays how capable 1m can be.

Here is another whole thread on the "M3 vs 1M" debate:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=714943 I traded my e9x M3 for my 1M, and I prefer the 1M. I loved my M3, it was a great car, but for me, the 1M is more fun in general day to day driving due to the torque. |

This is what kills it for me too. I swear they brought in Chris Bangle as a consultant for that piece.
