Eisenmann Sport vs. Race, visual differences.
Quick question for the Eisenmann owners/experts. Is there a way to tell if a system is a sport or a race version just by looking at the mufflers?
I noticed by looking up pictures of the Eisenmann systems, some show the rear cross pipe as being straight and some have an "indent" on them. Are the indented ones the race versions? Thanks! |

I cant recall if my Eisenmann Sport has an indent but one thing that you will notice is that the sport has an angled cut on the exhaust tips.

The only visual difference would be part number on the plate: race version MY2013~ has B-5267-R-1 whereas sport version should have B-5267-S-1 (not sure about the last letter nor the number).

The finish looks lovely on those boxes. Went back to OEM after a few years with OEM mod. Tryed Borla Atak for a bit but find it too loud after some time. Corsa gets great reviews and I believe the sound and level would be spot on, no local disti though so makes it trickier/expensive.
Debated whether a Eisenmann could work, anyone tried both Race and Sport? |

Some Eisenmann models will show an S1 designating a Sport system. Most now will say Sport or Race in full.
E90 M3 Sport B5268.00835 E90 M3 Race B5268.20835 E92/E93 M3 Sport B5267.00835 E92/E93 M3 Race B5267.20835 The small indent on the rear cross pipe is only necessary for the E93, and is only visible on later models as Eisenmann revised their design. Tip length is different between E90 (shorter) and E92/E93 (longer). All other mounting points are the same. E92/E93 system works well on E90 with aftermarket diffusers. Both E90 and E92/E93 systems have a slant cut tip with a beveled inner wall.

Is it actually an e92 exhaust? It seemed to fit fine and tips not too long. |

I can check what number mine says, but here’s how my tips fit (E90 spec, Black Series Sport). If yours fits, who cares what number it reads?

I agree. I installed it and loved the sound so I didn't worry about it. However now I'm selling the car and the exhaust separately, and I want to make sure I'm selling the exhaust properly.
For reference, here's how it looked on mine: |
