with my H&R drop, the gap went from 3 fingers in back and almost 4 in front to just enough for 1 for both. Im guessing the RD ones give much more of a lower stance and Eibach's front will be slightly higher.

Personally i love the aggressive raked stance the H&Rs give. While ride quality is not severely compromised.

so it seems Eibachs are the "highest" option.

I wonder if the Eibachs actually give better performance because it lowers it slightly less in the front (more suspension travel) and is slightly softer so I would imagine it should be more tuned with the shocks.

I know with my H&R's when I go over bridges/overpasses (big bump) on the freeway my car gets pretty unsettled. Feels like I fly for a second if it's in comfort mode. Any of you Eibach people experience that? (note: comfort mode)

Get a set of proper coilovers. You get everything you want that way. You can adjust the height, the ride, and will get the best performance.

Thats probably the best advice. However, if your car will never see a track or will only see a track once in a blue moon, its a pretty hefty price tag to have a lowered car.

there's only .2" difference between the two. I think the main difference in performance comes from the spring stiffness not the difference in height.

+1

Also many of the coilovers I looked at had a minimum drop of 1" and that was more drop than I wanted.

IMO, if he is planning on keeping the car then its worth the investment, and it seems that he does hit the track once or twice a year.
You don't necessarily have to step up to Motons, you can get TCKs for half the price, but I would wait for GC to come out with their set up, if not going the Moton route.
There is also the RD chassis kit that comes with matched springs and shocks.
I will admit, Im not a big fan of aftermarket springs and OEM shocks when combined together.

It is more money, but you can get a better ride overall for street driving with coilovers when compared to springs with stock struts.

I would like to know who the H&R's would ride with the shorter bump stops and spring guides shaved down, like Dinan does. They're all OEM parts.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

I just got mine installed today & ride comfort seems similar on the comfort setting. Haven't hit any big bumps with it yet, and hope not to. Roads here are a little smoother than the States, but are often under construction. I'll let you know if I feel anything different.

Which ones did you look at? You should be able to get almost stock ride heights with most kits if that is your pref.
I ended up getting Moton coilovers, should be installed in a few weeks. The shop Im going to use is busy with their racing program at the moment.

I still think that coils are the way to go. Does Eibach have a matching strut and spring kit for the M3?

Coilovers will give you better performance.... just costs more money.

I looked at KW and a couple others recommended by forum sponsors and they all told me minimum drop was 1". I didn't look at Moton though.

I have to say i mounted eibachs on my e92 335d lci with M suspension with eibach spring, i find it a little bit jumpy on bumps. Does anyone also have this ? I was thinking of going to change to H&R to stiffen it up a little. But will i lose to much comfort ?
