changing angel eyes /daytime runing lights!!! s5 dayimtes are hot, ours r not

hey guys,
I want to make the daytime runing lights super white / and bright.

Its pisses me off when i see a new audi s5 with those crazy led daytime lights and my e92 is halogen

lots of options out there as far as changing those bulbs.

some people do gp thunde holagen bulbs others put hids and most do leds.

I want my halos to really be bright and white during the day,. Whats the easyst and most effective method.

How is the instal?

what size?

any reccomendations on what to buy (links and pictures would be ideal)

heres what i found so far but i hear they are not bright during the day:

This subject is better handled on the "Cosmetic/Visual Modifications" forum. Most people do the tinted halogen H8 bulbs, like the GP Thunders, but they are not especially bright. I did the bulbs, but I'm still waiting for the perfect solution, myself. I high-output LED should be the best solution, but as you noted, the ones offered do not seem bright enough. The design of the BMW system, using the optic light tubes will never be as bright as the direct LEDs of the Audis.

You just need an H8 bulb replacement. If you are after a white color to match the OEM xenons, I recommend the xenesis bulbs we carry. They are a nice upgrade over stock to match the factory white output.

I just replaced my Xenesis tru-match bulbs w/ a gp thunder 7500 setup, and to be honest haven't seen a large difference. The GP thunders seem a tad "blue-er" but still white.

I know exactly what the OP, Danny, is talking about. I know that several companies are supposedly working on a good LED version, but nothing yet. The problem as I see it is that the rings is essentially a clear tube the the light shines through, not projects from. I believe that the solution that you are thinking of would come from 2 loops of led lights that completely replace the OEM loops.

There is only so much blue you can get out of a halogen based bulb. The fact that it is still a halogen setup really inhibits the amount of blue you can get out of it. That is why an LED based solution would be optimal if you are after a true blue output- something we are readily working on for you folks

7500's are pretty good in the day. Not as bright as stock, but definitely visible. No question that they are on.

GP Thunder 8500K in my sig.

Not as bright as it looks, but noticeably better. Nothing currently comes close to an S5 LED setup though.

Look at what camaross305 has done. He has the most bright and most white LED's for Halo's. Check out his work. Just waiting to see if the fitment is for the E90 M3.
