We need to roll-on again with your good tires and without all the weight in your car....starting in 3rd for sure next time to remove the wheel-spin variable. I think it will be very close!

Was at the Star Car Sports Chuckwalla event this weekend. First time out there. Nice smooth track. And 40 feet wide!
E90 M3 Track/course: Chuckwalla CCW Best Lap Time: 2:02.76 (Harry's Lap Timer with external GPS confirmed by GoPro) Brakes: AP Racing - Mintex F3R front, Ferodo DS2500 rear Tires: Hankook R-S3 - 18" - 265/285 Suspension: JRZ RS Pro in rear. Front JRZ is still off the car. This week Danny setup the front suspension with stock damper, H&R lowering springs and my old GC street plates. I was happy to have some camber again, and the H&R springs kept the front end low. Took a little while to get used to this new setup, but I got the hang of it after a couple sessions. I think I'll keep the car like this until the JRZ fronts return. Other mods: VF620, MS Test Pipes |

rear seats: I couldn't tell the difference to be honest. I really only pulled them off so that I could comfortably fit all my stuff without damaging them (couple of us did a little buttonwillow/laguna seca weekend and I like to bring spares, especially when going far!) If anything right now I'm still getting used to running a square setup vs previous staggered setup. All things equal the rear is definitely more ready to step out and I have to use a little more care in high speed turns/sweepers. IDK if removing weight from the rear axle is helping at all ahah |

You'll be proud of me Ryan. I ran some DSC off laps yesterday too, just to start getting a feel for it-----backed off of course. Felt good. No drama--2:09. Have fun at Chuckwalla! Tell OC3 to put MDM back on so he can go faster! |

I am proud! Now keep it off! Until then, we are assigning an 8 second handicap to all your posted times.

MDM on = cheating
Lol I kid I kid. But tracking with electronics correcting for you, applying brakes for you etc hinders your learning curve. You need to learn to do that yourself (Nissan GTR guys are you reading? ) With that said, Gabe, congratulations! I remember riding with you a little while back when you first started tracking. You have made TREMENDOUS progress! Hats of to you my friend! |

GTR is easy to drive fast, but hard to drive at the limit. M3 is hard to drive fast at the beginning, but easy to drive at the limit once you manage it. The best driver and a better than average driver in the GTR might have very less than 2 second in differences. However, it will have a huge gap in the M3. Just my opinion though, adding some funs to the topic. |

Then, in May of '12, went DSC off, and was frustrated for a while. Timing-wise, the coming summer heat only compounded things. If you decide to go DSC off, I'd suggest doing it when things are cooler and will remain cooler for a while. It'll be better for the ego, lulz. Anyhow, 8 months and 17 track days later, I know I'm happy. With driver-mod, NT01 and the car setup pretty neutral, I'm having a blast besting my previous personal bests, but the track videos sure look boring now.
