E93 Vert truck question - real basic question

Hey guys - new owner of a 10 E93 - love the car.. Quick question about the trunk - Even with the top up there is a big divider looking thing with a wavy line emblem on it.. I think it says PUSH or something on it .. In either case that piece is blocking my access to the little area in the left where I think they left the manual for me.. Can anyone tell me how to move this piece or is it supposed to be up when I put the top up and theres a problem or do I do it manually and do I need to put it back when the top goes back down.. Tks

Just give that divider a good tug upward and you'll get full use of your trunk space. Note that if you want to drop the top, the divider needs to be lowered back down, as it acts as a safety so you don't accidentally crush anything in the trunk while converting the car.

Awesome thanks so much Blot - I was scared to really tug on it until I knew what was goin on there - If I were to leave it up and start to open the roof by accident would it let me know I need to close it or would something break?

Indeed. If this happens, make sure you check that the trunk divider is lowered before you freak out about your convertible being busted

Welcome to the club - hopefully you get some good days of weather for top-down driving. The info posted here is right on, not much to add, just wanted to say hi.

The car even checks for small items stashed in the areas beside the magnetically latched trunk cover. I have a small tablet stashed on the side and it would not let me open the roof. Pretty sophisticated.
