This video shows tremendous car control that most people will never be able to duplicate.
Autocross or Gymkhana that is flat out !!!
It's not just the control but the speed at which he is doing some of these
things is just awesome!!! That's why they get payed to do that and we just wish we could. I think I'm gonna go back and watch it again. See Ya.

It will not cost you 150k to buy an sti, tune it to low 500's awhp, and put on some 285's all around...

Not even close.

Granted that car has a lot of unnecessary stuff (roll cage, fancy seats, etc) if you just want to be able to do that drifting...
But even so, taking an sti to a speed shop and getting a roll cage and seats, etc, won't bring you anywhere that high in price.

Are you for real????
Why is it every chat board has a wanker on it?

Have some of your attitude back.

You're wrong fuck-face. It's Gymkhana and it's completely different to autocross. But only a complete wank-bag would think they're the same thing.

"Gymkhanas are even tighter than motorkhanas and autotests, with numerous 360-degree turns around cones and courses that loop back upon themselves. Fast times require a lot of sliding and the end result ends up looking similar to a cross between autocross and drifting. Gymkhanas do not usually require entering reverse gear."

Pleasant, isn't it?

He does what Travis does but with a car, there's a video of both of them, Ken jumping and Travis jumping over him at the same time doing a backflip, simply awesome

Right but what subie says it costs is what subie says it costs... that's Ken Block's WRC car I believe custom made by Subaru.

Ken Block isn't in WRC and neither is Subaru factory anymore. He drives (or drove) Rally America and those cars are similar to the WRC cars, which top out around 300hp (not at the wheel). You might be confused with the torque figures, which hit close to 500lb-ft.

Oh christ I feel old now. Go on the old Ford Escort. I had a Sunbeam Ti back in the day and I remember all my mates being jealous because it had 15" alloys, 100bhp and RWD. I dreamed of having a Sunbeam Lotus. Oh the simplicity of it all. And it was one of the fastest things on the road then. Twin 40 DCOE webbers. God bless them.

Cool vid, wonder if it was all done in one take? Looks like fun but def not a fan of drifting, anything that takes a judge and scores to declare a winner is not a sport. But it does look like fun...watching this reminds me that i need tires
