What's the best 19" Ultra Perfomrance tire for mostly track duty?
I'm looking for something like the Dunlop Star Spec, but the largest they make is 18's. Maybe RE 11?

Advans would be the best 19" street tires
Toyo R888 and hoosiers are the only r-compound option but that's not really what you're looking for. |

I'll probably try to get another wheel for track use since in case I have an off and hit something hard. I'd like something I can drive to the event on, but would not be the ideal daily tire since it's more geared towards performance. The Star Spec's get great reviews on all forums I've looking into and my buddy has them on his E46 M3 and loves them. He's had 4 HDPE days on them, and they look almost new- and no he's not slow at all.
How are the AD08's in the wet? Or near freezing (but usually not freezing) temps? They're not cheap, neither are the Cup Sports.

You never stated cheap in the title Consider the Nitto NT01s
I run the RE-11 as my street tire and they are much better on track when compared to the PS2s.

It doesn't have to be cheap, but they're at the top of the range, particularly the Cup tires, compared to other offerings.

Tried the Cups but prefer these Pirelli Corsas instead.

AD08s are fine in wet weather In cold+wet weather, they are not so good. They can be scary, in fact.

+1 Since this is an extreme performance tire, I would not run it close to freezing temperatures, they'll turn to a solid rock if you do. |

Probably depends on where you live, and not that long regardless. They say "For Competition Use Only" on the side and don't fare rain all that well.
I'm a big fan of the RE-11s and have tracked them several times. Great all around tire.

The RE-11 is also very good, but I would say the same about it as the AD08 - if it's below 45 degrees and the road is wet, be very careful.
