1200 Mile Service Early?

My car has 780 miles on it right now and it says I need service in 250 miles. Is it normal to take it in that early?

Wait til you're at least at 1100 miles. Dealer will probably turn you away right now.

My dealer called me after I passed 600. Said the car...alerted them.
I said "But Im only at 600 miles"...gal said they had a window with which to perform the break in...and had me bring it in.

I got mine done at 995 miles. The car's indicator said it was ready. You'll be fine.

Agree..bring it in ..they should take care of it for you

just hit 1200 getting the service now. but first thing my sa asked was your car is smg right so we will change the transmission fluid.

I was like no its dct and he said I'm not sure if they change that or not. I hope the tech knows that e92 m3 don't come w smg. not a good sign from this dealer so far.

I am very close to 1200 miles and the car has been alerting me that the service has been due since 20 miles or so. Have an appt next week and was wondering if I can go on driving it for the weekend, etc? How much over can I go?

I don't think anything will happen. I just got my service done on thursday and I was 20 miles past

I actually received a call from BMW saying that my car is reporting an oil change was due at about the same mileage. It was just giving a head's up warning that my first oil change was coming due soon.
