gominigo vs rho license plate tow hook

Just got my 2012 beauty last week and I've grown attached to the sexy look of a plateless front but I live in NJ and I know tickets will be coming my way if I leave it without a plate.
Basically I just wanted to know which of these tow hook methods sticks out further?
Im leaning towards the rho plate because it comes with rubber foots to prevent the plate from scratching up against the bumper for whatever reason.
Inputs??

I have this one and it works great. Extremely sturdy and light. Adjustable. No rubbing against the bumper.

We have the GoMini and the plate actually bent on one side since the backing plate does not go all the way across the plate.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

US Mill works - Fantastic.

Based only on that picture above in the thread, I went to US Mill Works' site and checked out their license plate mount. From the information they had on their site, the part appeared well engineered.

I installed it today, and I was wrong. It's not just well engineered, it's over-engineered. The quality and fitiment is far beyond what I expected.

It's fantastic, and worth every penny I spent. There's a gimbal on the mount that allows you to angle the plate the way you want it. I have it angled to match (mostly) the front angle of my M3's bumper from the top. It looks really, really good.

Highly recommended.

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but which would you suggest to buy, if one wants to be able to remove/put on the tow hook plate holder quickly? Any suggestions?

Cheers

If you are looking for a quick disconnect then neither of these are for you. Sounds like you want the mfest quick release plate holder. I think it is pretty cool but at nearly 2 1/2 times the price of these it made it a hard sell for me.

Here you go:

I'm on my second M in 3 years and never run a plate on any of my cars. Been pulled over once because of it and got out of a ticket. Just keep the plate in your back seat and when you see a cop put it in your window. Maybe I'm just lucky or because I'm nearly 40 with a perfect record. Personally, plates mounted off to the side scream boy racer!

+1 for US Mill Works. My front license plate has gone thru the automatic car wash probably 20 times so far and it hasn't budged
