Issue with ipod plug

Hi Everyone

The ipod cionnection (OEM from BMW) is giving me greif, where it plugs into the car it looses connection and if you wiggle the cable the sound comes back.

Very frustrating, is their an easy fix out there or is it back to the dealer with associated time hassle?

Cheers

Mine has always done this (08 e90). I had it replaced (the cable and the internal plug). It didn't help. But once I get it "on" it rarely gets into a bad state. It is disconcerting however; how great can the reproduction be with such a loose connection?

Had this happen on my '08 550. Dealer replaced the USB port in the center console and never had another problem... I would assume the iPod/USB port is similar across BMW models.

I had something similar happen, but my problem was with the cable itself. Specifically, the ipod connector would not firmly connect with the ipod, so I would get an intermittent output. It would look and feel like it was connected correctly, but it wasn't.

When I went to the dealer for my annual oil change, I mentioned it, and they gave me a new cable. I haven't had the problem since.

My ipod connection is bad. Don't know whether the cable or USB port caused the poor connection.Intend to send my radio back to repair
