muffler hanger post snapped off

i have searched and can't seem to find this as a common problem, or problem at all...

i was out driving today and a guy pulls up and says my exhaust is bouncing up and down. so I check it when I get home and find that the hanger posts on the back of the muffler are completely snapped off. it looks like it was welded in three spots (see below) in the stock photo (not mine). not sure when this happened but I'm pretty sure it was like this when i bought it. I always thought the exhaust tips looked a little low. the side hangers are keeping it in place, but I'm sure they are wearing out faster not too mention other damage that may be happening.

think this can just be welded back on?

It can be welded back on...just take it to a reputable muffler shop. No more than $50.00.

i don't think its a common problem there are four other sturdy hangers for that rear section, so yes, you can drive around. but, i would get it fixed.

There was another guy here that was asking the same question. He got it welded back on and everything seemed fine afterwards.

When I had the muffler removed when I mounted my Akrapovic exhaust, I had this issue, so you aren't the only one.
