LUX H8 Install Question

I received my LUX H8 product earlier this week and performed the install last night. My car is a 2011 M3 ZCP. I have a question about the "black box" (capacitor?). Where is this piece intended to go? It fits inside the headlight housing, however mine are lying on top of the back portion of the H8 bulb (the finned piece of the H8 which protrudes from the actual housing of the headllight). Is this part intended to do so? Where is the black box supposed to be located? On the older H8's, from my search on this forum, I noticed that the black box was located outside of the headlight assembly. However, the install instructions for the new H8's (on the vendor website), maintain that the black box fits inside the headlight housing, but there aren't any pictures showing it's (the black box) location.

AFAIK there's no specific position for the black box. Mine is just resting in the headlight housing compartment along with all the other wires. However, I've thought about using some double sided tape to secure it to the underside of the lid of the headlight compartment?

It goes inside the headlight housing. I just put mine somewhere in the empty space behind all the bulbs and wiring. Enjoy!

FYI dont put double sided tape on the lux black box... its gets really hot inside the housing. find someplace comfortable. but most people just put that box inside the housing without no problem....

Random question; removing the existing bulb; it's rotate CLOCKWISE correct? The official manual suggests clockwise, everything else on the internet, it's clockwise for removal. Just trying to do some recon before I head down to install.

yes when you are facing the headlight ie: looking from in front the car you turn it to the right to get the bulb out.

Yeah, I just installed the Lux last night in my E90. Took over an hour.

Question: How tight did you guys get the new bulbs to screw in? The OEM I removed turned about 30 degrees but I could only get the Lux turn 10-15 degrees. I couldn't get any leverage on the bulb to turn it anymore. Suggestions???

As long as it looks secure and the red/orange ring is flush with the socket and the lights are working you should be good.
