Does anybody know how to open the E92 tail lights?
NO flames or anything please, just asking a simple question. I searched but couldn't find anything and I don't want to remove them off my car if I don't know how to disassemble them.. I want to completely detach the outer lens on both pieces on both sides from any mechanical parts etc..
Is it as easy as just removing the lights and disassembling them or is it more complicated? Thanks guys |

As with most light housings, you will most likely have to set your oven for its lowest temperature and let them sit in there for 10 mins or so to loosen the adhesive. Then you can do whatever you want with them. You will need to be super careful though when you reassemble to make sure they are sealed up well or the results will be for naught.

What about boiling a pot of water and then letting the lights sit in there for a good 10/15 minutes? That should be okay too right.. Thanks bro |

As far as putting them in water, this would be far from my mind. Any condensation in a light can almost be impossible to eliminate later on. |

I'll see how it goes when I finally grow enough balls to do the task in a couple weeks.
