LUX Knock off?

Was paging through the Roundel that I just got and came across this Angel Eye replacement bulb. Looks pretty much the same as the LUX but without the anodized coatings and for less...

Interesting.. NAmotorsports was originally the only people that sold the original LUX H8's. They were called e92 LUX back then.

Probably not as bright in daylight but who knows lol also for a "knockoff" they are still expensive

marc, lux went solo earlier this year or late last year at some time...shortly after NAM tried to put out their own version of LUX ae's....marc no longer designs nor deals with NAM afaik...

So they since they couldn't sell the LUX they went and ripped off the design... Nice

Wouldnt trust knockoffs when it comes to angel eyes. Those units get pretty hot not worth the hazard of a fire starting.

I don't think it's a knockoff, it's more like NAM is using Lux's old design since they have access to it.

No they blatantly stole our product design. at one point they were going to buy the company but that fell through, so they decided to copy our design all except for the power supply, which is where they failed in their design. our LUX H8 has a proven track record and we support our products fully

They're just LEDs folks. Not exactly super complex electrical design. As for the power supply, again, DC going to a simple light is not difficult to engineer properly. I'm honestly not convinced these are in any way inferior. As for customer service, this is certainly a place where Lux can set itself apart.

no one said they were/are inferior...but i'd stick to the original's and support marc/lux over NAM...
