I had the MS wheel II for a while and now I'm regretting getting rid of it. Fanatec makes some amazing gear but it's stupid expensive. I'll take a real performance wheel for my M3 over those.

That's an excellent reply and I do respect you for tracking your car. I apologize for coming-off like an asshole. I'm really not trying to impeach anyone's character for playing arcade driving games, was just throwing an endorsement out there for the much-more-realistic options.

I track my M3 as well. I've also won several WKA (SouthEast-Jacksonville) 125 shifter kart races, and driven in a few PCA events in my old 911. I then moved to motorcycle racing, winning 37 races and 7 CCS championships before earning my AMA Pro (Expert) roadracing license and entering AMA Pro 750 Superstock, which (as I got older -and- fatter) segued into my current job in the motorcycle industry.... I still maintain that arcade driving games are more frustrating than fun and can be downright counter-productive (teaching you to stick your nose-in and use other cars like a berm with little penalty to yourself etc...). I'm an avid sim racer to this day and can vouch for the effectiveness of sims in honing racecraft and learning real world tracks (something arcades help with, but not as well due to their flawed dynamics).

The demo came out yesterday and looks pretty darn good. I can't wait for the full game to come out next week.

I preordered my Collectors Edition from Best Buy so i'll have the M5 and 1M.

Im EXTREMELY disappointed that there wont be any Porsches. They are by far my favorite cars in FM3

EA owns the rights and didn't want Forza 4 to have any P cars. The game does feature some Rufs in it.

The demo does let you drive the new F80 M5.

Go to best buy and see if they have it. My preorder was cancelled due to lack of supply vs. demand. Got lucky and went to one that had several copies of the LCE pack.

I received my copy yesterday ... and it rocks!

Second race I was played was in a E92 M3 (to keep the discussion related to M3!

) ... turned off the in-game music, turned up the in-game car sounds, then ripped it around the Nurburgring.

Fantastic!

So annoyed! I also pre ordered from best buy a long time ago and they didn't ship till about 3pm MST so didn't receive it today!!! Hopefully I'll be getting it tmw!

I also preordered with Best Buy and my order was cancelled. They offered a $20 gift card and 1600 Microsoft points if I bought the standard version. I ordered the regular version for in store pick up. Went last night to get it and they had one collectors edition on the shelf. WTF. Got that copy, cancelled the regular one on the phone and they said keep the gift card and Microsoft points. I also got a cheesy pair of foam dice.

Great game. Anybody else using the kinect along with the controller? It just tracks your head movement so you can look side to side while driving with the controller. Might have to put a driving wheel on my x-mas list this year.
