This car was the best of the past...currently.....and in the future,no doubt ,simply legend !
When i would go for 50 launches with my DCT at least if my ///M3 had to admit it, than it was ready for the junkyard !
Also after 10-20 launches it was going even faster with a drop from 2,9 to 2,6 sec 0/60 time ..Hello BMW ?!?!
And BMW said BMW ///M3 is the Ultimate Driving Machine ,i realy love my car but actualy compared to this car it's not ones but twice BS and for me personal the Porsche 911 Turbo S is the Ultimate Driving Machine and in the posted video we all can see why !!!
BTW...THX for sharing the video man .

Wow, gotta love the 991's styling, and the Turbo has always looked so beautiful. Still, I'd take the naturally aspirated GT3 if I was going to spend that much dough. Can't take advantage of that much power on the streets around here and I'd probably kill myself on the racetrack lol...

I fail to see the point of this video. In fact I'd much rather be happier with a car that DOES go into limp mode, because I know there are protection systems working to prevent damage to the car. Porshe or not, oil cooled clutches or not, I have a very hard time believing that this kind of aggressive launch 50 times in a row will not result in some type of damage or severe wear and tear on the drivetrain components. I doubt even purpose built race cars can do that and avoid damage. I'd be more willing to join in this Porsche lovefest if there was another video of an autopsy on that car showing how the engine and drivetrain internals remain in pristine conditions after this abuse. But as it stands now, that car's life expectancy might have been cut in half by that test and no one knows about it yet.

Let me honest. You're not paying 160+ grand for an M3.. Can't compare the two

Slightly off topic but this vid reminded me of how careful you have to be buying used.....I've been looking at E90 M3's recently. Got the VIN from a guy selling one locally, checked on a VIN decoder, and right at the bottom it said "Press Preparation".

Run to the hills.

My M3's rear axel would've probably fell off after doing it 10 times in one day if that's even possible haha. I love the new Porsches, but I hate how one of the top car companies have stripped their amazing cars from manuals =( well.. most of their cars..

Excellent video. I believe Porsche when they say the system is "lifetime". This system both with its durability and longevity definitely puts the E9X M3 system to shame. I certainly hope the new M3/4 LC system will be an improvement. Its been plenty of time since our system was developed.

Not sure what you're talking about. M3 warranty has limited mileage. No idea about Porsche. But that wasn't my point anyway. My point was that this video claims to prove how durable a 911 Turbo is to the extent it can be launched 50 times in a row without suffering damage. But the video actually doesn't prove that. It simply proves that you can launch a 911 Turbo 50 times without it going into limp mode or getting any slower. The car could very well have sustained mechanical damage that hasn't shown up yet. That's why I said the only way to really prove that this car hasn't suffered damage from this abuse is to tear it apart and inspect the engine and drivetrain components in detail to show that they are just like new.

Doubt that would happen being that, that thing is so dam unbelievably fast stock theres no real reason to mod, unlike the M where you couldnt mod it enough ever. This is why AWD is So Much Better.

I don't get why folks here who like the Turbo S are bashing the M3?

For me, I'd MUCH rather have a GT3 than any turbo Porsche or BMW (or Nissan to throw the GT-R in there as well).

Oh, and the video? Uh, that guy is a complete asshole. The stunt is stunningly abusive, selfish and can't be that much fun after a few runs.

Well, you can forget all that. The new car is fitted with a turbocharged straight six. Turbocharging? In an M car? That’s like putting gravy on an ice cream.
