New LUX H8 V4 angel eyes

Just saw that on their page. Do you guys think it will be significantly better than the V3 ?

so this is just my opinion on all these bulb replacements, so i'm not ragging on any particular line or brand or distributor, etc:

These bulb replacements will never get close to the OEM LCI brightness. To duplicate OEM LCI lights you need a complete new LED bulb system.

What I've observed is that these bulb replacement systems, simply just increases light temperature higher and higher in each new version (along with other hardware adjustments to support higher outputs & other improvements). As your eyes cannot tell the minute differences between these outputs and sunlight (6500k), you actually won't see them in daylight as they're the similar color temperature as sunlight, makes sense? You'll need blubs that are straight up blue, or light temps WELL above 12000k. Of course at night, they'll all look fantastic.

Again, just to recap, if you want the OEM LCI look that's in all non-M cars, then you'll need a new LED lighting system. There are vendors on here that offer these systems.

edit: also, pictures will never capture these outputs properly. The camera lens filters a lot of light so it's not too accurate for comparative purposes. You need to see these bulbs in person to judge how they look

Very true. I enjoy my LUX for the way they look at night, and they are much cheaper than OSS (although OSS are definitely a great option).

For a plug and play, and for the price, LUX is a good deal. If you're looking for the 3 series LCI look, you need to go OSS.

Nothing will match OEM, but LUX is by far the closest/best you can get.

Lux 12000k looks great in pictures. I'll reserve judgement until I can see it in person though.

Sorry - I'm not referring to v4. I have v2, and they look great. I personally don't like the purple/blue OEM look.

I may upgrade to v4 just for the cool factor.

feels pretty crappy, when i just bought v3s for the same price, and with less features.

They should have warned buyers, of a new version coming out.

just ordered this. Will post pics side-by-side with our 2012 X5 which has the white angel eyes. The X5 has a bluish hue so it would be interesting to get LUX to closely match it.
