hi guys just wanted to share a little review of these that I just had mounted on my E92 on the stock 19's.

Up here by Santa Clause in Norway we are almost dependent on a real dedicated snow tires. The "performance snows" that seems to be most popular on here, don't seem to be up to the task for the major snowfalls and icy conditions we get.

The most popular tires are Nokian Hakka's either studded or stud-less.
These are great snow tires, but are really soft and don't really belong on a performance car like the M3. (in fact not legal regarding my local tire shop).

I had some Dunlop 3D's last season, and while great in the cold and decent on fresh semi-hardpack snow, they were real sketchy on ice and not so goof in deeper snow either.

My tire shop convinced me to try the Vredesteins Wintrac Extreme's for this season, so I figured I'd give them a shot.
Since my front Dunlop's were still ok, I first tried just replacing the rears, which was a disaster!
The car became almost undrivable, like the whole balance in the car was upset because of the mixed hardness in the rubber up front and in the back.
Im never mixing tire brands on a high performance car again, lesson learned!

Anyhow, I replaced the fronts aswell, and we just had about a foot of fresh snow this week,leaving it quite deep in the smaller streets, the intersections are all hard packed and slick, while the freeways are cleared.

I can tell right away these tires are a huge improvement both in the loose fresh show and on the hardback. I can accelerate much faster at the lights on the hardback, and I can hold a much higher speed through turns aswell before the traction control interferes.
On the freeway I can tell they have a little softer sidewall, and the compound seems a little softer too, so fast lane changes and turns in the dry is not as predictable as with the 3D's.

Anyways, I would put this tire right in the middle of the Nokian Hakkas and Dunlop 3D's in terms on snow handling vs high performance dry handling, so for anyone in a similar climate I would highly recommend them!

I am pretty sure they are cheaper aswell.

Thank you for posting. I have Hakkas (the R studless winter) on my car and love them but they are pretty aggressively oriented towards deeper snow and ice. That was what I have wanted and love the tires, just dry grip is much lower than a performance tire. I may look into the Vreds after seeing your writeup. Curious what sizes you are running?
