There are quite a few sites explaining how to build one. Mine is pretty simple like this: http://diyphotography.net/take-cool-...alized-car-rig
The hardest part is building a sturdy boom that's also light. I used steel poles for awhile and I dented my roof a few times. I recently found an aluminum shop that cut me pieces to spec. Costed a little over $200 for the materials and cut. It's super light and barely flexes. It's 10 feet long and splits in the middle for transporting. You'll also need a super wide angle lens and some ND filters depending on the amount of light you are working with and how long you want the exposures to be. The longer the exposure the more blurred the BG will be. Since I shot in broad daylight (I was able to shoot a few times with the sun behind the clouds) I set my ISO to 50, aperture at F22, and shot 3-5 second exposures stacking 3 ND filters: Since I was shooting wide, you can see the ND filters vignetting the photo. You generally get much better results in low light situations, but I love the look of rig photos in broad daylight. This is pretty common knowledge among photographers, but just in case you have no clue how this is done, the car is off and in neutral. I set the 10 second timer on the camera and push the car slowly from the other side until the shot is complete. The hardest part of all is all the post processing to remove the rig and its reflections and shadows out of the shot. Most people set up the rig so that it will easiest to photoshop out. I prefer to get the shots I want and just recreate parts of the car if needed. It's not perfect, but generally good enough that most won't notice unless they are specifically looking for it. Hope that helps.

Cool shots, but the angle feels a bit low for me.

Outstanding pics, definitely will be using them for wallpaper Two questions about your car: What angel eyes are you using, and are you running spacers? |

5D mkII and the 16-35mm
I wanted to put a bit more focus on the diffuser and exhaust. I like low angle photos. Lux and I have 5mm spacers (I think) in the rear. I used to have 12.5 all around, but removed them when I switched to wider AD08's because they rubbed all the time.
