Square track set-up? No fender roll?
Is there anyone who who can recommend a square 18" set-up without rolling fenders? I'm so confused! Spacers, offsets, camber. I just want to go have some fun without beating up the factory rims/tires. I have a 2013 with the Comp Pkg and want a square track only rim/ tire package. I'll be trailering it on track days, so no need for wet/ dry or any other street applications. Thanks in advance for the help.

Just buy another set of rears. Run them on all four corners. Car feels fantastic with a square set-up. It's cheap and fun. Works really well with a stock suspension.

A lot of people at the track run Apex Arc 8 or EC-7 18x10 ET 25 square setup with 275/35 all around. No fender modification required. Also try searching as there have been many discussions on this issue.

18x10.5 et22-27 with 275/35-18 or 285/30-18
I have a set of "off the shelf" Apex ec-7 and Volk TE37SL and I don't have any fender rub or modifications. Keep in mind I do have coil overs, adjustable top hats, and 2.5 neg camber on the front w/ 1.7 neg camber on the rear. Hope that helps you figure it out some. |

A number of e9x M3 owners who track their cars prefer the square set up in order to be able to rotate tires, as well as neutralize the car by reducing the induced understeer from the staggered setup. You can easily fit an 18x10" ET25 all the way around on your car with the 275/35/18 tire size with the OEM suspension, and most aftermarket suspension. Additional negative camber or fender modification is not required with this wheel and tire fitment, though some people do add a little more negative camber in the front to help with the turn-in. You will not be able to roll your fenders as they are plastic on the e92 M3.
There is an exception to the 18x10" ET25 squared setup with 275/35/18 tires fitment if you have KW Clubsports on your M3. The square setup will still work if you remove the helper spring from the front struts, otherwise you would need to put at least a 5mm spacer in order for the wheels to clear your spring perch. KW's helper spring causes the spring perch to sit lower than normal, and will thus interfere with the tire. If you choose to not deal with spacers at all, but would still like to do a squared setup on your M3, you can either remove the helper spring to move the spring perch up, or go with the 18x9.5" ET22 squared setup with 265/35/18 tires.

David - is there a fit issue with the KW V3 also, or is it just with the Clubsport? |

We have not heard of this issue with the KW V3s, but there has been a few e9x M3 owners using our 18x10" ET25 with the KW CS that had to add a small spacer in the front.
