Hrm, so now that it's over, I'm rather unimpressed. Wasn't a fan of the iMac two-tone nature, but it grew on me. This just looks odd. And no option for matte screen is the dealbreaker for me.

+1 Not a lot of new features, no 17 inch display, and no matte screen. Not impressed at all.

not much at all, mainly aesthetics and a much faster set of graphics cards (2 of them) under the hood.

as others have said, what a let down!!!!
no 17", removed DVI port, no matte option, price is the same, no BluRay??

I'm pretty damn disappointed that the new nehalem intel chip wasn't in these and agree that its stupid that they don't make the screens matte like they used to...also liked the older macbook pro keyboards

Call me a tough critic but I was somewhat dissapointed..

Agreed. Not entirely impressed with the release. The two toned notebooks have not set in on me!

Needless to say I am happy with my 17 MBP who really needs more than 512mb on a NOTEBOOK GPU? If you need more than that, you should have a desktop IMO

new look
even lighter and thinner than before

what more do you want from a mac? i'm so sorrrrrrrrrrrrrrry you can't shoot laser beams out of it or upgrade it to 380 whp

my macbook has a 64 mb video card and it was 1099 retail
this new one has a 256 with a 1299 retail

how pissed do you think i am?
