How long did your car take to go through VPC?
So my car hit the Baltimore port on Monday, 10/4, and I'm assuming is now off the boat and going through the VPC process. On that note, I'd be interested in hearing how long it has taken other owners for their cars to get off boat, get through VPC and get loaded on a truck? I'm really hoping it's a quick turnaround as I'm in the D.C. area which is only about 40 miles from Baltimore. Any chance I have my car by this Friday???
Note: no ED replies please...you guys will just taint the response b/c I know your cars sit there FOREVER trying to go through VPC and customs.

My car coming to Boston is in/at the VPC as well.
Dealer says that the computer is showing a dealership arrival this Friday. That would be less than a week in the VPC, which seems quick, but who knows since these are the first cars from Germany after the factory re-opened. I want to know how long the dealership needs too?! I am hoping to go on Friday and get all the paperwork done, pay for the car, give them my old plates, and pick the car up later that weekend. Jim

I think that if you search you'll find. I think it takes about 2 days if you ordered the car, granted that nothing happened to it during delivery. Mine has been in that online status for about a week now, but it had another ship journey to cover so it's probably out by now and on the way here.

Dealer let me know that he car released to the carrier... so it was 2-3 days at the VPC tops, not sure exactly when it came off the boat.
Should be a the dealer tomorrow, Friday at the latest... Fri afternoon I will hopefully do the drive off!

When did the boat arrive at the port? I'm assuming you came into NJ?

I guess it's still sitting at the VPC? The longer it sits there the more I'm concerned it was damaged during transit!!!!!!!!!

Too early to be worried about that dardeca! If your car landed on the 4th then I would suspect Monday or Tuesday. Granted it is a roughly 10 hour drive from the VPC to New Orleans so that is longer than your journey but my car landed on the 29th but arrived today. That's eight days from landing to dealer, you're on day three. It may have cleared the VPC but is stuck awaiting a truck. It is coming soon, very, very soon!!

Even worse, when the wife and I went to dinner tonight, we passed by a new E92 ZCP and all I could say is "that's my car, that's my car". The wait is painful and although my CA tells me he will let me know the moment it gets on a truck, I still find the urge to e-mail him daily asking for an update. I think I'm losing my mind!

Thanks Cameron!
Ha! I don't take delivery until 5 so it will be after 6 by the time I leave the dealership. I'll take plenty of pics on Saturday. When my CA told me it would be arriving today I took a quick spin by after lunch to see if I could spot the car. As I drove down the street towards the dealership, a brand new white E92 M3 pulled out of the gas station down the street. It had no plates, the bumper plug was still missing and it had some door guards and other things that indicated to me it just came of the truck as well. I guess a service guy was test driving or taking it down the street to fill it up. I have to say, if it was my car I wouldn't be too happy with the way he was driving it. Don't think he got near red line or anything but he was flirting with the 5,500 rpm break in limit for sure. I had visions of him doing that to my car!!
