What is your HIGHEST Educational level?

Bored at work and thought about posting this poll and would be inforamtiove to know the different educational backgrounds out there.

Apologize if it has been done before, and if it's not the perfect poll, but I tried to cover most out there. Cheers

Wow, a poll that is both useful and has not been done on this forum before? I didn't think it was possible.

Why did you put the only PhD as doctor of philosophy.

Also IMO don't lump engineering and science in with arts. I have a feeling many of us on here have engineering or science backgrounds. Anyway.. whatever.. just my 2c. Who cares.

I have a feeling that most of the entries will be bullshit. Everybody is under 25, and they also are all Doctors, Lawyers and MBAs, all paid for in cash by their own hard work.....riiiigghhhttttttt

What is the point of this thread? How does it matter one bit what someone's level of education is? If you're somehow using this for marketing, then state so to your fellow forum members.

What's next? Hair color? Shoe size?

Not exactly sure what you are referring to, but in the US, typically all PhD's are referred to as "doctors of philosophy" regardless of discipline. There are some schools that name them differently, but they are largely the exception.

I think he wanted to break it down further and i see his point, like:

Psy.D (Doctor of Psychology)
DSW (Doctor of Social Work),
D.Sci (Doctor of Science),
D.A. (Doctor of Arts)
(Ed.D.) Doctor of Education
etc,..

Yeah, here we go. You don't think others thought that when they saw the subject matter of your poll?

While your intentions may be innocent, there's enough "attitude" in this forum as is. Between those who feel they have to be able to justify the purchase/lease of this car (be it due to their age, income, net worth, etc.), and those that prey on others they somehow find to be less worthy, along with various other pissing contests, it's creating a bad vibe in this forum, imo.

I appreciated the "garage thread," for instance. It didn't say show a pic of your garage and state your net worth. It was just about garages. Some far nicer than what many others can afford, some done more tatesfully at a bargain, some more maintenace oriented, but it just showed appreciation from everyone about garages, and it demonstrated how everyone appreciates it in a different way.

Polls like this don't bring aboutg any sense of appreciation. They only bring about arguments, sense of superiority/inferiority in some, negative competition, and there's just too much of that in this forum as is. I like visiting this place, and I just wish it would contain more of the good natured information and appreciation of common interests that it did in the past. Even most of the sub-forums have these negative, pissing contests going on.

Chill. I for one find this interesting. As is often said, no one put a gun to your head and forced you to read (much less reply to) this thread. If you don't like it, you are free to move on.

This accusation seems to come out of left field. Don't see anything in this thread to indicate any kind of nefarious marketing scheme by the OP.

Maybe try decaf?

It's not uncommon for folks to try and field through forums to obtain data, as inaccurate as it may be. Glad you find it interesting. I don't. Just as the OP has the right to post it, I have the right to comment on it. You could have just as easily read past my comments and not bothered to reply if you didn't like it, but I'm glad you did. I have no problem with you voicing your opinion over my comments. Nothing wrong with that, and I hope you see that I have the right to do the same.
