CHP smog checkpoints

Watch out people.

Ran into a smog checkpoint 3 days ago on valley blvd & temple. Good thing they were having a break so I got through.

This sucks I have the akrapovic full exhaust. It's only a matter of time before I get into trouble.

I honestly feel bad for you gents. I would be appalled and absolutely furious that a state as bankrupt as California is paying LEO to stand on a corner and check for "smog polluters". What a sin.

That article shows how the US Supreme Court said the state DOES have the right to perform DUI check points at the "minor" risk of infringing on civil liberties.

I would only recommend not stopping at any check point, Smog or DUI, if your desire is to be chased down by police. Have a gun pointed at you, and thrown in the back of a police cruiser.

It's unreal the fvcked up things our state is doing to make a dollar. The worst are the parking cops, those people are as worthless as they come.

how do you know they were doing smog check? I have seen the sobriety checkpoint between Garfield Ave. and Main St.

This does bring up an interesting point though... next time I see one of these I'll stop but Im not going to cooperate just for shits and giggles!
