Took Delivery Today!!!

11' Sedan, DCT,19'', tech package. Space Grey/Fox red novillo/Carbon fiber

My last car was a 335i sedan. I have read many posts on this forum prior to ordering my car. After driving this car for only 50 or so miles I can agree with the following

- the M3 is just a raw version of the 3 series
- 335i has great low end torque...the M3 needs RPM
- 335i is great in traffic....M3 not great , low speed assistant helps though
- DCT can get a little jumpy a times
-the M3 is alot more fun to drive!

My wife drove the car for the first time she has a 335. She says this car feels slow and its too loud. She likes the 335 better!

There is a learning curve to the M3. Especially during break-in. My first drive in one was the one I bought. I left the dealer and gave it some gas, I though, hey where is all that power. After break in and getting to know the car you will revise what you think! Congrats. Then race your wife and smoke that 335.

My wife drives the M3 from time to time too. She also prefers my last BMW (a 328) and her car (a Hyundai Veracruz) because they are quieter and smoother.

It doesn't surprise me that your wife prefers the 335.

The minute she said the M3 feels slow... she lost all credibility When you are done break in and learn to drive the car, have your wife line up next to you in the 335 on a long straight deserted road (I mean track) and see which car is slow ... (well, neither are slow but maybe I should say "less fast").
