I think all situations are different. I had the older version of the RE spacers on my old E36 M3 for at least 25K miles and never had a problem removing them. Anti-seize was applied to the spacers when I got new tires. About 25K miles later, I got new tires and when I was at the tire shop, I removed the spacers without the use of any tools and reapplied anti-seize while the tires were being mounted and balanced by the technicians. I also inspected the spacers for any deformities, etc. and I could not find any.

I have the Macht Schnell Spacers on my E90 M3 right now because I wanted to try something new. I used the same method with the application of anti-seize and have not had any problems so far. I had remove the rear tire recently to install the OEM alarm, but the spacer did not stick to the hub or wheel. The mileage between installation and removal is 1700. Only time will tell...

Preeth, sounds like you have some axe to grind with Ben. Spacers are dead nuts simple. They fit or they don't. They're made of aluminum allow, not pot metal. My RE one fit PERFECTLY, and are quality material. So are my H&Rs. The RE ones are lighter, better finished, and have the removal slot. The Macht Schnell ones look really nice, as well. This isn't rocket science, just a matter of subtleties. Spacers don't "go to shit" unless they are of some very inferior material, which none of these are. Spacers don't "go to shit" unless they're made out of Polish suasage.

RE says their spacers "start from 100% billet 6061-T6 aluminum round (not cut from plate). From there, they are machined entirely on CNC lathes and mills to ensure absolute roundness and thickness. It's a fabuloous car to start with. These forums are great at getting everyone to try to outmod the next (Mexico, you're untouchable!). I admire your approach and taste in modding. Your car (like your prev. e46) is aggressive, but not overboard. The car would almost appear "factory" to the untrained eye, but to an enthusiast, the specific improvements are apparent and appreciated.

I've been a friend of Ben's for years - it's nothing personal.

Shipping weight for one - for the cost of shipping the kits over from Rogue's NJ facility to us in SoCal, we would have to sell the pieces at over retail just to break even. We do not believe in drop shipping and sell items we actively stock in-house so we have full control over inventory and delivery times.

This in no way makes an indirect claim one kit is better than the other, the RE units are just as high quality as the Macht Schnell units.

I'd stick to H&R.

I remember many years back when RE had a bad batch of spacer bolts and kept the failures a secret. I'm sure the quality has improved and the products are safe now but I will never give them any of my business.

I would imagine standard wheel lug torque specs should apply.

90 ft-lbs. Then double check all lugs again after ~50 miles.
