As someone said above, FRP bumpers always need a lot of work. That's why I asked what your bumper was made of

Indeed, I'm curious as well. Did Carbon Fiber Kreations go out of business or something? They disappeared.

Well, I decided to take it to another shop more fitting for this kinda work and I have to say I'm pleased with the results. Just about everything lines up really well after some trimming, but there are a couple gaps around the headlights that I'm going to have them throw some bondo at to make just about perfect. (Also put some black metal mesh in front of the radiator)

Appreciate all the feedback so far. Was definitely worried about all the people telling me to send it back, but I feel good about this one.. going to have it all fit proper and painted for quite a bit than the real deal.

Once everything is all said and done, I'll write up a review for people looking to go a similar route

For the headlights... Loosen the bolts that hold the lights in place and move them into place and that should fix the gap.

Right on, thanks for the info– I'll definitely keep that in mind. Talked with the shop and they're going to add some additional fiberglass around the lights to tighten everything to appease my OCD-side... so hopefully with the extra work and being able to shift things a little bit, I think it's going to be a really good fit.

Bumper goes on Thursday at the latest

Keep in mind the oem bumper also has a wierd small gap near the headlights like you now have... Check some pics out.

If you are going to close the gap with something I would suggest this black gasket maker stuff me and my friend use to close the gap on lips, diffusers etc...

Yea, they're not going to make them be in contact (to avoid potential damage).. but the gap will be tighter and more uniform.

Glad you may have a way to complete this project. Seems like a lot of work for proportionally less gain.

thanks man. Yea, it actually wasn't that big of an ordeal, just that the first shop lead me to believe they were capable of handling something like this.. when they really weren't. (wasting both of our time and my money) They also kinda freaked me out when they said the bumper wont fit, hence this thread even getting started... but thankfully they were very wrong

All about going to the right shop!

CFK didn't go out of business, they just don't sponsor the forum anymore. Email them directly from their website.
