Killed by S63

Today, on I-280 in Silicon Valley, I was blown away by a new S63 Brabus. I was following behind him at 80-90 and he decided to take off. It wasn't even close, no way I could keep up with it. When I got home, I found out it has a 720hp twin turbo V-12, 974 lbs. of torque. I don't want to think about how much it must cost.

No, that would not be the S63, you may be speaking of the S65 that is the V12. I think you would have gotten blown away by the S63 Brabus all the same. Although far from 720 crank hp, the Brabus 63 makes about 540 crank hp and a hole hell of a lot of torque. The S63 by the way is a 6.2 Liter Naturally Aspirated V8 (Not a twin turbo V12).

I am not surprised that the m3 gets killed on the straight by those power monsters.

m3 stand no chance against S63, S55, S65, brabus or not. However i had a chance to drive my friend's S63 for a long drive (floored it and mountain drive). It was fast but not astonishing. M5 felt much quicker than S63 mainly due to the fact that the engine is twice as responsive. (and it probably is quicker in a straightline).

Overall though S63 is a very very very good car to drive but only for its size. Driving pleasure of S63 doesn't even come close to M3.

M3 will murder S55 and S63 and probably lose to S65. I killed a long Maybach the other day by many car lengths and the guy was flooring it properly. The S version should hold up better and probably run even with the M3.

It was white, no plates. 280 N. in downtown SJ; I kept going N on 280, he (actually it could have been a she) cut over to 880. Around 5:15.

I see lots of cuties driving their daddy or boyfriends cars and think to myself, there is no way they even know what they have inside their engine bay

I don't know about "murdering" the S63.
It's times are around 12.9-13 @ 110 but I think that's a bit misleading as they run pretty fast.
For a 4800 lbs car they can move. Sure I think an M3 will beat it, but not by much. I know an E63 will creep on an M3 from a roll so the heavier S63 will get beat, but surely not "murdered".
S65 runs with M5 or new CTS-V

I don't think people are comparing them from a performance standpoint, just from an acceleration standpoint.
And in that regard why not?

Why even post those numbers for the maybach? The 57s is the short wheelbase version. You said you raced the long wheel base. S63 and more than likely the 57s can and will pull on you if your stock which im assuming you are.

I raced a long 550hp one from a 60 km/h roll and the difference was staggering. I have given you the 57s 200 time to show that the M3 would kill that one too from a stop and it would be closer from a roll. The S63 wouldn't pull on a stock M3 neither from a stop nor from a roll!

But we're talking about running at 80 then flooring it. The other cars there struggle to get their mass moving but once they're moving the picture would be completely different I think. Then all that huge torque will come into play.
Surely it's the 7 series they should be racing with though?
