Both transmisions are great. It is just a matter of preference. Definitely, if you drive an M3, you can certainly drive an MT. Getting a DCT will not make you a good driver or even a bad driver. Let us be honest. Two important things that sway my decision to get a DCT is the cool factor and my wife can also enjoy driving my car. She can drive a manual T but it will be easier for her to concentrate more and enjoy the ride. From my old S4 to Boxster S and my curent E92 335i, she hardly drive it. Maybe this time she can enjoy what we've been experiencing driving a great car.

Hey Man if you can wait for it, Do it... Thats what im Doing! I have always
been a 6MT Guy, Even my E46 M3 is 6MT. The M-DCT Just sounds Too Good
to pass up. I have already put my deposite in to my Dealer with my Order Options
all im waiting on is to actually drive the M-DCT in person so I can Put in my
FINAL Order with or without M-DCT. If you have owned 6MT cars
before, I would say wait and drive the M-DCT to see how you like it before
putting in your final order cuz its a big difference! My Dealer is getting a M-DCT
M3 in a Month so Im going to wait it out and drive it before my SP Puts
in my final order... I hope I like it cuz I would really want the M-DCT....

Thats another good reason too why I want to get M-DCT on my new M3 is that My GF can drive the car too if I dont feel like driving. Another reason is Here in Los Angeles, We have some Horrible traffic and I drive alot so the 6MT on my E46 M3 gets really unenjoyable in stop and go traffic. I would love to have the option to just pop it into auto in traffic then pop it back to Manual in open roads and enjoy shifting with the paddles... Plus the M-DCT is another "NEW" Feature I would'nt mind
having in my New M3, thats if I like it after I drive it...
