I don?t have the alien bump on the back of my head like the white folk which may explain the different experience. I historically have had a problem finding a good fitting helmet - army, hockey, hoekcy goalie. The only helmet that fit me well was a custom made goalie mask.

The Arai rapes my head in M and L. The HJC was far worse...I would probably put it on in the morning and not take it off until the end of the day. I almost cried in the store taking it off.

Some helmets have modular padding. I know that Arai does for the cheek pads.

Has anyone use a forced air helmet (hook a hose up connected to an exterior duct)? I want to try that but not sure about how awesome it would feel getting air through it at 100mph.

Hmm...didn?t know that. I just assumed Arai hated asian people with how they designed their helmets.

(Haha...its a joke. Not claiming Arai is racist)

That?s nice to know because I like their helmets other than the ear raping thing. I know they have built in comms, forced air if you decide to go that route...I might have to do some more research.

The G6-PED has adjustable cheek pads and costs $1700. The GP-6S does not list adjustable cheek pads as a feature.

For me, $1700 is a little much to spend on a helmet.

Do you need a visor? I just unclip the visor and run without it, problem solved....

My GP-5W has removable pads. I'd be surprised if the GP-6S doesn't. I believe the 5W is the same basic shell as the 6S, just with the larger eyeport and ducts in a slightly different place.

Yes, for safety reasons, as we said.

I might order one of these and see if the design prevents fogging. It has the area by the nose actually covered up more, meaning your breath is further from the visor.

Is the RS7 visor one of those dual-pane deals?
RS7 is dual-pane. It's also very comfortable and extremely light (CF version); padding is a significant step up from my Bell Sport. Definitely my next helmet purchase.

I assume you checked the vents to ensure they are open.

Get some anti-fog from a local scuba shop.

Yes, all of the vents are open. I will be trying the Molecule-brand anti-fog spray.
