Was the actuator covered? I have seen conflicting info for coverage under PT+.

Yes fully covered. PT+ covers virtually everything engine, transmission, drivetrain related.

Stupid question but is PT+ the platinum extended coverage? I got that when I bought the car and later thought maybe it was not the smartest move. Covered until 70k miles under it which I'll hit in the next 3 years.

PT+ is powertrain plus.

I just crested 50k, I really need to get a sample sent off. What are you finding the best (cleanest) method of extracting a sample size?

Go to blackstone's website, they'll ship you as many oil collection packets (bottle, information sheet, shipping container, plastic bag, oil absorbing towel) that you want for free.

The instructions in the included packet suggest to drive the car for 20 minutes before changing the oil, change it hot and half way through the drain, stick the bottle in the free-flowing stream until the bottle is full.

Just hit 70k on mine with the last 8k being boosted. The car is a 08 with DCT. The trans is perfect no issues and I have never had any problems with the car.

@80K

Typical ICV replaced around 17K.
Low pressure fuel sensor ( I replaced it 2 weeks ago).
No base from speakers around 20K.

Sending 1st Blackstone sample out this week.

In short, no problems.

Yes. Go to the maintenance section of the forum, there is a whole thread dedicated to posting Blackstone reports. Just posted mine there (68k miles).

Cool. As soon as I put a few more thousand miles on the Mobil1 oil, I'll do another test.

76k and going strong on mine! 2 fuel pressure sensors (out of pocket, didn't get PT+ =/) and nothing else. The car is phenomenal to this day and always a blast to drive!

Randomly the little "light out" indicator will come on, but I've heard that's from a recall in the rear taillights. Any advice on this?
