Sadly I only had my BlackBerry and iPad on me... so the pictures aren't that great. But pretty cool nonetheless, and the Carrera GT is definitely a rare car!

^Yah, I wasn't a fan of the color myself, but it was still a great looking car, and the first Carrera GT I've seen in person.

I honestly have no idea. It looked pretty real to me, but I didn't get a full view of the car. You are probably right though, something about it looked off.

I wonder how those kit cars work. Again, I could tell something was a bit off (but I'm not an expert on the GT, so I didn't know). But the car looked pretty awesome (beside the color) on the road.

Because I was more focused with driving, and it literally stopped, I took a few quick pics and then it disappeared. I don't take offense. Because when someone pointed it out, when I looked again I knew it was fake. Interesting though... how do those kits even work? Is it a base Porsche Boxster/Cayman/Carrera or something with a kit? Or something else?

Not going to lie, it looked like an exotic on the street, and sounded like one too. Pictures don't really do it justice, even if it is a fake

They start life as a Boxster. The dead give away would of been the interior if you'd have seen it.

Kit car.

I've seen two CGT in my life, one at a car show and one last weekend in Greenwich Ct.

When you see one, YOU WILL KNOW it is a real CGT. It is so damn wide and LOW it's unbelievable. I thought my Z4M was low until the CGT passed me.

Probably my favorite modern car (until the 918 comes out).

Car was most likely a Boxster. I think I just wanted to see a CGT so badly that I just overlooked the 'flaws.'

The exhaust was pretty loud, but I definitely thought the CGT was louder... so that should have been a give away. I just never knew there were kits to make boxsters look like CGTs... so I just assumed it was modded or something.

There's a yellow replica like that I see around here at least once a week. If you weren't well versed in the Carrera GT you'd think it was real until you really looked at it. But if you're like most men equipped with testicles and had a real one as your desktop wallpaper at least some time in your life... you'd be able to see that it's definitely not "right" but you can't put your finger on it at first. One thing that's obvious right off the bat is it sounded like donkey dick
