Again, thanks for the complements. It's funny because this is the complete opposite of what happened when I asked people, in person, which look they preferred. I think out of around 20 people that I asked, only 2 people thought I should change out the DPEs.

Its like asking a woman if she likes clothes, or a child if they like toys, if you ask this forum about BBS wheels the vast majority think they are the best thing ever evented. I think BBS makes a fantastic wheel from a functional and structural standpoint but I dont necessarily feel its the most aesthetically pleasing wheel. That being said, they both look great but I think the former are more aesthetically pleasing....

I'd be interested to know if the people you asked prior were forum members or even M3 owners or just general car enthusiasts.

Prepared to get flamed...

All were car enthusiasts... there were some P-car, Maserati, Lotus, Aston owners, classic car owners, and M3 owners as well.

I got these wheels not because they were BBS, but because I really liked the way they looked...especially for SG. I looked at tons of different ones, and these LM-Rs were the ones that stuck out the most.

old rims looked much better but I will never understand 20" wheels on an m3. Everyone loves it now as now it looks like 90% of all M3 with BBS wheels. Now you just need an Akra and you'll be like everyone esle. LOL. Looks good either way!

Love it! Glad you got ride of the DPEs. Not a fan of diamond black though I think it hides the rims but I guess it goes well with sg.

I'm just not a fan of DPE after hearing a story or two about poor quality wheels or customer service. I know it's not true for every case but I personally wouldn't risk it. I don't like black rims anyway lol. BBS all the way for me.

To be fair, I can vouch for both the quality and customer service. I never had problems with the wheels...and I live and work in LA. I never had a problem with getting updates before getting the wheels. They actually got them to me well before the promise date.

I like them both. Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't.

Roll what you like. Which do you prefer?
