Throttle response issue?
Has anyone had any issues with the throttle response? In normal driving mode(DCT) my car seems to have a lag when I hit the throttle, even if I'm just rolling on to it and sometimes when I punch it, now it doesn't happen all the time but it almost kinda killed me the other day when I was making a left when oncoming traffic was coming!!! I'm taking it in tomorrow and hopefully it's not a big deal, but anyone have any ideas? Thanks

The only time this should ever happen is if in D mode and you press the throttle while the DCT is in the process of making a downshift...even then the throttle should only be unresponsive for a fraction of a second.
Anything else is unexpected behaviour and indicates a problem with the engine. Short term fix is to use the paddles to downshift in advance of any situation where quick throttle response may be required. |

I have the issue, if it can be called that, on the same incline every day on my way to work. Normal driving conditions, I keep it in D2. The scenario: I'm on a flat road surface and turning right at an intersection that inclines from left to right. The turning lane is a bit of a ramp-like lane. From a stop, I have no problems - car shifts to 1st and I proceed. When I'm making a rolling approach, the car will remain in 3rd and requires, what I feel, quite a bit of throttle to downshift. At this point I'm already in the lane with traffic approaching. I figured this was normal operation and I've yet to change driving modes to determine if D3+ provides any assistance with the downshifts. Pulling the paddle once isn't an issue either... just sayin.

Throttle lag or drivetrain lag? I say this because my throttle is pretty crisp. So much so if done gently, I can lightly rev the engine before DCT declutches. But in D for me, I've had drivetrain lag as described by others.
