After going to a couple of the Houston C&C meets I can't believe the police haven't shut this event down as the racing down the 610 feeder is nuts given the amount of people stood watching.

I was shocked that the cop kept on directing traffic allowing the meet attendees to have their 5 seconds of fame EVEN after the idiot in the corvette screwed up. IMO the cop being there was actually influencing people to push their cars to the limit.

Thanks for posting. The salutation was very clear. It's too bad you were looking at the previous car at the the critical time. You had the clearest (and closest) shot of the scene (that I've seen) so far.

One of the huge risks for people standing on both sides of the street (besides the speed that things can go bad) is shown in your video: People are watching one car, but there is another one coming right after it that they aren't looking at. People could easily be mowed down and never know what hit them. Barriers have been put up in Dallas to keep people back from the street.
