Agree...my old E46 was metallic silver and was like every other metallic silver out there (and SSII really is just as uninteresting)...actually regretted it until I switched cars (while grey is also generic, SG is differentiated enough in tone and so much more satisfied w/ it). SSII would probably be last on my list.

You can order a regular 3 series in the e9x form in jerez black but not Silverstone. So yes SS is that special as it was not available as individual colors from bmw but jerez and every other color was available as individual except SS

Again that's not true. You need to do your research man.

If anything, Jerez is even more special because I don't think it was offered on any other car but the M3. SSII was offered on other M cars.
