Properstyle's e90 build 2.0

So as many on the forum know I sold my supercharged e90 and moved in to a F80 m3............ yeah wasn't for me. Nice car, huge tech update, but the car sounds like complete butt. As much as people often deny it sound is part of the driving experience of a sports car/sedan. I also hated the way the car drove, power delivery was not smooth, it was abrupt and overly aggressive. Even with a set or R888Rs I found my self often searching for traction coming out of corners. I will say the car makes a lot of power cheaply but the power band is pretty short and notice it dies off up top. My biggest gripe has to be high speed cruising. at 80-90 mph (lets all be honest and not at like we've never cruised at that speed). The car has a nasty surge. even with cruising control on you can feel the car is cruising in boost and trying to modulate it. but enough about that,

I didn't realize just how hard it was going to be to find another clean e90 dct car that wasn't beat the shit or didn't have 100k miles. I search for over 4 weeks, looking at almost every car that popped up for sale. I did not want jerez black again. which made this search even harder as the second most common color on the e90 was the only car that seemed to be for sale out side of silver stone which I was not fond of. after nearly giving up on the search I came across a recently posted ad on ebay that funny enough was even in my area. A Space Grey 2010 E90 with navi and DCT with fox red interior. Car was stock had no wrecks and only 32k miles . I messaged the seller about 6 times until I got him to meet up with me and It was well worth the wait. The car was mint. I mean so mint, the interior was spotless, there was no paint work on the car, the owner was an older gentlemen that owned a few m3s.

As they would say let the modding begin, I've never been to much of a fan of the factory 220m wheels. I did search for a nice set of Comp wheels, but looking at people wanting 2k for wheels without tires that weren't even mint I opted for a set of forgestars.

Congrats man! Glad you found the spec you were looking for. I'll be down end of this month, we should get together for an E90shoot!

Welcome back Properstyle!

Sorry to hear the F80 didn't work out but then again nice to see you aboard again. (like usual we'd love to hear more about the F80' shortcoming to justify our madness about the E9x).
New car looks bloody stunning, finding a mint E90 after a few weeks sounds like good work done.

Cheers

What a gorgeous find. Low miles as well, I hope you got it around 40 or less, sounds like a steal. Space gray and fox is a great combo. Looks fantastic with the wheels.

For those that love the S65 and the power delivery, the newer M cars may never satisfy. It's not about being the fastest, there will always be something faster. But there may not ever be something as fun

Enjoy!

Congrats man. Hope to see this car at one of the meets soon. This kills me because I missed out on a Space Grey/Fox E90 back in June. Eventually though!

Welcome back to the E90 gang.
Just something about the E90 M3, so much fun to drive.
I'll probably keep my E90 forever.

Nice! Didn't even know you went over to the dark side. I would love to have the f80 as a daily with DCT but I would NEVER trade my e92 6MT and pay a boatload of money to get into an f80. I think we have a couple ex-f8x owners in here now, but congrats on the new ride, it looks brand new!

Can't wait to see what's in store for this one.
