Looks great man. Coming from a long line of Audi's in the past, I've always been a huge fan of Nardo and it looks absolutely great on the e92. Any reason you went with the alcantara Recaro seat inserts, alcantara performance steering wheel, alcantara e-brake boot, but left the DCT boot leather?

I've been looking at Bimmerfest picture threads and I was seriously underwhelmed with the cars that showed up this year. A lot of them were not modded to my taste at all. Your car however, is spectacular (along with the Daytona Violet F80).

Always been a huge fan of the way you mod your car. I definitely remember taking inspiration from what you did when my car was bone stock.

P.S. I'm still on the fence about the F80. I really like it, but 0 chance I'm selling my E92 for one.

Sorry to keep responding in the thread but I dont have PM or visitor msg capability.

The mounts I made were a prototype. I wasnt completely satisfied with them and I told myself I would go back to the drawing board a little bit on them before I created another. I am actually not running them at the moment but Sam wrote that in to his piece because he knew about them and thought they were cool. If I perfect the design I will definitely re-introduce them and show them to the forum.

Hey, can you give me your opinion on the gts wing at the track? Do you think a bigger wing would be better?

I obviously shopped around and was quoted in the $10-12k range by a lot of shops. I stripped and prepped the car myself and put it back together after paint so that saved me considerable amounts of $$. Lets just say it was less than $10k and above $5k

I could definitely feel the difference on the track. The car felt more planted especially in combo with sticky tires.

A bigger wing should be reserved for cars that are putting down more power and need it (i.e. supercharger). Otherwise I have heard the car doesnt have enough power to fight through the added drag... not to mention imho it looks like crap on our cars lol (unless its a fully built race car).

Thats what I wanted to hear lol. Its just that I see all my friends with e46 and S2000 with those huge wings, even though they have less HP than our cars, and they all bully me for wanting to go with the gts wing

Thanks!

love the car. I'm with you when it comes to getting dirt in your fingernails in the garage! Doing work yourself beings a connection to your car that you will not get otherwise. Its great seeing you explor different phases with your car and being creative with how you execute your ideas. Very nice. Much respect! I'll see you at the HRE show hopfully!
