Not necessarily. I got the rear end of a 328i x drive loose during a test drive. The road was curvy and it was wet. I was surprised seeing that DSC was on and it was awd. I was able to correct in time luckily with little drama. You shoulda seen the sales guys face. He was like "that was awesome. You were drifting."

With 4 people in a tail happy car, plus a wet road is a recipe for disaster regardless of whether it took place on a track, course or even a "toll road". Stay safe out there and I'm sorry about your M.

Never drove this in real, but it is a tricky one in GTR-Evo (the game). This turn has a bump just before the (very late) apex. If you take it from the inside, the rear of the car rebounds like on a racket, exactly at the moment you think "oh shhhh its a closing radius", and there is no way to avoid a spin. The proper trajectory is on the outside with late apex, and you still have to be careful not to lose it. It is not as bumpy as the inside, but it still unsettle easily. |

As for the vintage videos.....a few observations. Cars used to roll with little or no provocation. The drivers inside these cars were rarely utilized the lap belt. WTF is up with all the random rubbish inside the cars.....who really hauls all that crap with them everywhere they go. What is up with track safety....let's just give spectators the apex to set up a picnic....that way we don't need tow trucks to right the rollovers. People must have been terrified of burning alive in their cars....no more than a second or two after a crash the drivers jump out like it's going to blow up hollywood style. |

I wonder how much he was charged to repair the guard rail that he wrapped up.

I've had friends return from ED and told me that you are charged a per meter rate for guard rail repair if you crash on the ring.

They charge you, a lot.
Costs are incredibly expensive. You can see them here: http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/prices.php Insurance from foreign cars mostly now exclusive the 'Ring specifically in the terms and conditions. So if you crash there, your left with the cost of ring closure, replacement armco, recovery, the cost of your car and if you happen to collect anyone else. |

Wrong line, lifted off when neutral throttle was needed on camber and direction change, downhill, people in the back, late correction.
Apart from that it was pretty good, really.... |
