Mustangpalooza

My firm audits this one company who's owner is a Ford Mustang nut. He has what he calls a "Mustang Barn" and when my co-worker was doing their year end audit he took them over to it so they could check it out. From what I could tell there are multiple GT500's, at least one GT500 Super Snake, special edition Roush's out the wazoo, and more. There is probably well over $1M worth of cars there. Here are some of the pictures from it, enjoy:

Seems like a very lopsided collection... They're all less than 5 years old or more than 30. The difference between most of those packages can't be great enough to necessitate owning more than a dozen of them. I would have picked up a couple from each generation to make it true collection.

Why collect so many late model Mustangs? Nice stable but do not understand the attraction to have multiple versions of the GT500, Saleen, and Roush. The 67 GT500 is sweet. The GT40 is a clone.

That first Mustang could very well have close to more HP than both of these combined

Yep No fox body mustant there. They were not the greatest cars and none of them were special. Maybe the SVO with it's turbo engine other then that they were not special. Maybe the 96 SVT with the mystic paint and the Cobra R.

As for the guy that said it the Ford GT was a clone......the real GT40 is a car from the 1960s, there was a prototype called GT90but the new one is a Ford GT and that one is real.

Umm, the SVO was dumb as shit.

You forgot about the Termi.

Not really a mustang fan either but that collection is impressive. Why no mustangs from the 90's? The guy probably likes the original design and the new ones that are based on the original?

I disagree.

While there may not be a specific, low production collector's car from the fox bodystyle a clean, low mileage fox Cobra should fetch good coin.

Like that 1985 brand new Mustang with 27 miles a few years back(1-2 y/ago). . If that was my collection I would have one model between 79-93 and maybe an other one 94-95(last year of the 5.0). Like we said not many low production were made back then. My choice would be a mint 5.0 LX Coupe but one of my dream cars back in the days was a white 5.0 GT model with the plastic thing over the tailights. I remember playing Ford simulator(first version) with (load dos 3.3 on the floppy then slap that disk). That's the closest that I've been of owning that car.

Ragingclue you're right about the Termi.

Yeah there was a guy with a '93 or so white GT with the white trim over the lights that I used to walk by every day on my way to middle school. It was a very good-looking ride back in the day, and made a glorious sound. I was more of a fan of the GT as opposed to the LX, but isn't the LX lighter?

I've always loved Mustangs, great fun for the money, especially the newer ones!

To each their own, I'm sure if we had large amounts of money, after spending on other exotics, I'd probably have a barn full of random BMW's...
