how many miles is too much

im planing a trip with my '06 325xi from pennsylvania to florida. its about 1050 miles and i was wondering if it is too much to drive strait in one day?

Im also wondering how long i should drive for before giving the car a break and how long is an adequate break?

The car shouldn't need a break... you will need one long before the car does unless the coolant system is not working properly.

I have driven 800 miles in a day (12-14 hours depending on traffic) at least 10 times in the past 5 years.

I've driven 1700 miles straight. There's no need for a break.

The car will run longer on the road than you can physically endure yourself.

Don't fall asleep at the wheel. That would be the bigger concern.

The car doesn't need a break. You on the other hand should split it up.

The Motel 6 In Fayetteville, NC at I-95 & Cedar Creek Road is cheap, and decent.

http://www.motel6.com/reservations/m...TRSID=&CP=&TA=

There is a McDonalds right at the motel and a Cracker Barrel just 2 minutes away across the freeway. We stay there all the time.

Trust me on this.... we are big time travellers. We already have 65,000 miles on our 2009 X3.

I once drove 19 hours straight from Odessa Texas to Chicago. It was a MoFo. I am not interested in doing that again. 1294 miles of hell. Of course, that could have been because my ex-wife was in the car...

It has been noted that the run of E90s produced in '05-'06 encountered significant wear and tear once driven for more than ~800 consecutive miles. I'd watch out.
